TLDR: I’m useless and nasty.
Hi all. I want to share some thoughts on what I have been working on.
I’m in the process of learning how to make comics. I have wanted to write a story for a couple of years now. But I have no idea where to begin with that. I am not a writer at all and have been scared of writing because I’m dyslexic. I know that the first couple of attempts will not be perfect. Like in painting, it takes time to see good results. But I’m still anxious about starting. How bad could it actually be. 😰
I have been thinking a lot about the style I’m going for. (because that is what I’m good at already)
It will definitely be grayscale. I’m not ready for colour, yet.
Concept-art and sketches:
My first comic will be a short one. I’m starting out small. The comic might also be dialogue free, so I don’t have to agonise over spelling errors. Anyway, I write this to hold myself accountable. I hope if I tell y’all about it, I will feel some pressure to finishing the project. Unlike the mountains of unfinished projects filling up my SSD. I intend to finish this one. 😊🤞
That was a lot of writing. Thank God for autocomplete and spell checking.
Thx for reading.
p.s. You should read "Understanding Comics: The Invisible Art" by Scott McCloud. It's very good and easy to read. 😁
